Many users push this value up to 300 or more thinking that it will deliver better performance, but NES games can run perfectly at 200, and pushing this value up will only decrease battery life. Keep that in mind. To bring up the TN-V settings menu, on your PSP or Vita press the Select button.
The trick for most games to run optimally is to change the CPU CLOCK GAME, which lets the emulator have a higher power setting than what it’s originally locked at. So scroll there and select the 333/166 value. And if some games stop running properly after this change, then simply change this setting back to normal when you want to play those. There you have it.
Please note though, that some particular games might require specific settings, so don’t get discouraged if you can’t run your favorite game at the recommended settings. Tweak the values until you find the best options or simply ask in the comments below. Happy gaming!

Looking for a different spin on the NesterJ homebrew NES Emulator for the PSP by Ruka? Developer davex dropped by the QJ.Net Forums earlier to announce an unofficial release of the emulator's v1.11, with this version carrying mods like Rewind, and Mirror mode. Rewind, as its name implies, will allow players to warp back in time (.ahem., within the game) in case they made a mistake. It's a bit like saving states, but with less of the hassle. The 'Rewind' button is mapped to the R trigger by default, and can be remapped.
Mirror mode inverts the game's graphics; much like how some manga get reversed when they get printed stateside. This new mode should enable sidescroller fans to enjoy their old classics from (quite literally) a different point of view. A third (and more subtle) mode also mentioned is sepia palette, which swaps out the game's color palettes into those you'll find in the GameBoy.
